The Great Dictator - Movie Review

# For the educational purposes
# Movie screening of the film The Great Dictator
# At Department of English

The Great Dictator is a movie which is directed by Charlie Chaplin. It is a 1940 American political satire Comedy drama film. And also it is his first true sound film.

Main characters

Charlie Chaplin in double roles. A Jewish Barber and a Hynkle.
Paulette Goddard  as a Hannah .
Jack Oakie as a Benzino Napaloni.

# Historical event
As we are seeing  the technology is now taking the place. And it has both sides good and bad. The time is of WW-2 the fight is going on. So we can say that it is based on true events also. Hynkle as a Hitler and Benzino Napaloni as a Benito Mussolini.

# Double roles
We finds Charlie Chaplin playing a double roles. Which again a good technique to contrast the characters . As we finds in today's so many Bollywood films . A Jewish Barber who is innocent and a gentleman where as Hynkle is a dictator ,who keeps doing cruelty on common people.

# plays with the balloon of earth
We sees that Hynkle plays with the balloon. Means he wants to rule over the earth or we can say that because of his cruelty the situation of earth is became poor. We can connect this things with today's time because Donald Trump is somehow does the same thing.

# Terrible use of weapons
We finds a gigantic weapons in the beginning of the movie. Which again represents the contemporary time.

# Protocol
Again we finds a good satire on politicians. We sees that the Hynkle takes one baby in his hands. This thing also we finds in modern times. And it proves that it is only for their self motives.

# Food fight
Normally we sees the presidents visits one another's country. In movie we can watch that Benzino Napaloni visits Tomainia. We can see that they both are so selfish. Which again portrays the today's situations.

# Problems of Country's Border
# Everything is already set
Time again we finds that politicians tries to be friendly with the people and tries to do debate in question answer form. But that questions are the questions which is accepted by the politicians. So we sees the speech of Hynkle.  No one understood his speech but yet people gives big cheer to him.

# Conclusion
In the end we finds that the Chaplin's character gets changed. Barber becomes Hynkle . And gives the speech of happiness and not be the slaves of this kinds of dictatorship .A worth watching film to understand modern time.

                                       Thanks...
